Harbour town

A Personal project which started off as an exploration into a certain type of building style. One where the house is constructed on top of a large stone wall and hangs down either side like a sort of saddle. I was inspired when watching a carpentry video on YouTube where this structure was utilised to make a portable saw bench.
I imagine this place as an affluent harbour town, situated on a prime trading route. The town has grown quickly and space is limited so buildings are frequently added on to and expanded. I'm really excited to explore this further in future pieces where I can work on the different types of architecture and cultures that might evolve in a place like this. Thanks for looking! :)
